Save 50% with a NSW Solar Grant

1. Get a solar assessment

Fill out the form below, and we will confirm your building’s eligibility. We’ll then send you a shared solar assessment with cost info and estimated savings, which you can share with your OC.

2. Apply for the NSW Grant

Your owners’ corporation or strata manager can apply for the grant on behalf of your building. Funding is limited, so the sooner you get started, the better.

3. Install solar & start saving!

Now that you’ve been approved for the grant, you can have solar installed by one of Allume’s accredited installation partners.

Unlocking solar for stratas

The Australian government has launched a new solar rebate program designed specifically for apartment buildings with 3 to 55 units. Through this program, eligible buildings can receive up to $150,000 per site, offering 50% off the cost of solar installations on shared roof spaces. This initiative provides an excellent opportunity to reduce energy expenses for communal areas like lighting, security systems, pool pumps, and more.

Get started with a solar assessment for your building

Physically splits the solar energy via a hardware device

Divides it fairly between the tenants over the course of the month

Sends tenants energy when they need it, maximising solar consumption

How does it work?

Once installed, solar energy will power communal areas such as hallways, garages, and other shared facilities, significantly reducing the building’s overall electricity costs. Through Bright Future Energy’s partnership with Allume SolShare, a specialised split-metering technology will ensure that any excess solar energy not used by communal areas is distributed equally among the tenants. This means not only are the strata’s energy bills lowered, but individual residents also benefit from lower electricity costs.

Enabling Solar Fairsharing in Strata

SolShare enables fairsharing of solar energy from a single rooftop solar PV system amongst multiple dwellings within the same building. This breaks down the technical and ownership barriers that have historically prevented apartment residents from accessing cheaper and cleaner energy from the sun.
